đź’› BK5 Youth Self Kindness Expo: Partner: Youth Eastside Services (YES)

At Be Kind 5 (BK5), we believe that kindness isn’t just a virtue—it’s a lifeline. This October 11th, we’re thrilled to host the BK5 Youth Self Kindness Expo at KTUB in Kirkland, a celebration of self-care, emotional resilience, and the power of community. And we couldn’t be more honored to partner with Youth Eastside Services (YES), a cornerstone of youth mental health support in East King County.

🤝 Why YES Matters

Youth Eastside Services has been a beacon of hope for young people and families for over 50 years. With offices in Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond, and embedded counselors in local schools, YES provides mental health counseling and substance use treatment to youth from birth to age 22—regardless of their ability to pay A.

Their mission is simple yet profound: no student should struggle alone. YES offers evidence-based therapies, mentorship programs, and community outreach that meet youth where they are—emotionally, socially, and geographically.

🌱 The Heart of the Expo: Self-Kindness and empowerment!

The BK5 Youth Self Kindness Expo is more than an event—it’s a movement. Through interactive workshops, art installations, peer-led activities, and wellness activities, we aim to equip young people with tools to nurture their mental health and practice self-kindness daily through the 5 pillars (mental health, giving back, earth service, physical health and financial health).

YES will be on-site offering resources, and activities for our mental health. Their presence ensures that every attendee knows: help is available, healing is possible, and they are never alone.

🎯 Why This Partnership Matters

BK5 and YES share a common goal: to empower youth with kindness, courage, and connection. By joining forces, we amplify our impact—bringing mental health resources directly to the community and fostering environments where young people feel seen, heard, and valued.
