🌟 Why Be Kind 5 Is Hosting the Youth Self Kindness Expo

In a world that often moves too fast and demands too much, Be Kind 5 (BK5) is pressing pause—and inviting youth and families to join us for a special event. The upcoming Youth Self Kindness Expo isn’t just an event. It’s a movement. A celebration. A call to be the change.

💛 The Heart Behind the Expo

At BK5, we believe kindness starts from within. Before young people can extend compassion to others, they must first learn to nurture it in themselves. That’s why the Youth Self Kindness Expo was born: to create a space where youth can explore what it means to be kind to their minds, bodies, community, planet and piggy banks!

This expo is designed to be interactive, joyful, and deeply impactful. From hands-on workshops to creative stations, every experience is crafted to help youth discover tools for emotional wellness, self-expression, and personal growth—all while having fun.

🎯 Why It Matters to Our Mission

BK5’s mission has always been rooted in advocacy, education, and empowerment. We’re committed to sharing resources that uplift families and equip youth with lifelong skills. The Youth Self Kindness Expo is a natural extension of that mission:

• Advocacy in Action: We’re bringing together educators, artists, and community to champion youth well-being.

• Resource Sharing: Families will leave with practical tools in the 5 pillars of Kindness (mental health, giving back, earth service, physical body, financial literacy) including meeting local resources and programs.

• Joyful Learning: We believe learning should be fun. Through play, art, and movement, youth will engage in experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence.

• Youth-Led Programming: We actively support youth in creating their own programming—workshops, presentations, and activities—that they can share with their peers. This empowers them to lead, inspire, and build community from the inside out.

🌈 Building a Kinder Future

Kindness isn’t just a value—it’s a skill. And like any skill, it must be practiced, nurtured, and celebrated. The Youth Self Kindness Expo is more than a one-day event; it’s a launchpad for a kinder, more inclusive generation.

We invite families, educators, and community members to join us. Let’s create a ripple effect of compassion, resilience, and joy—starting with our youth.
