Reclaim : Creating Pathways to Hope and Housing

At Be Kind 5, we believe kindness starts with meeting people where they are—and that’s exactly what Reclaim does every day.

Founded in 2012 by a group of concerned neighbors in Snoqualmie Valley, Reclaim has grown into a life-saving agency dedicated to providing pathways to stability, opportunity, and connection for individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity.

Their vision is simple yet powerful: a thriving, inclusive community where everyone has access to safe, stable housing.

For many, that vision begins at The Front Door—Reclaim’s Community Service Center. This welcoming space is more than a resource hub; it’s a symbol of dignity and equity. Here, neighbors can access essentials like food, clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation assistance, and even Wi-Fi. It’s a place where no one is hidden or shamed, and where asking for help is met with compassion, not judgment.

One of Reclaim’s cornerstone programs, Shelter to Home, offers motel-based shelter for single adults and families. This program provides up to 90 days of safe housing while clients work toward long-term solutions with the support of dedicated case managers. Priority is given to those most medically vulnerable, ensuring that care reaches those who need it most.

What makes Reclaim truly unique is its commitment to relationship-based support. Many staff members have lived experience with homelessness or recovery, creating a culture of empathy and understanding. This approach transforms services into lifelines—helping over 1,000 individuals since its inception.

Reclaim also stands as a safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, actively rejecting violence, bullying, and hate speech. Their work reflects a deep respect for diversity and inclusion, values that resonate strongly with Be Kind 5’s pillars of mental health and giving back.

Reclaim reminds us that stability is more than shelter—it’s hope, opportunity, and connection. Every donation helps create move-in dates for families, fund essential programs, and brighten lives navigating poverty and housing instability.
