Introducing Be Kind 5 for Athletes

More Than a Game. Building Healthy Humans for Life.

Sports have the power to change lives. They teach teamwork, resilience, leadership, discipline, and perseverance. They help young people build confidence, create friendships, and discover what they are capable of achieving.

But at Be Kind 5 for Athletes, we believe athletics should be about more than performance.

Our mission is to help young people develop into healthy, balanced, kind, and resilient adults who enjoy being active for life, understand their value beyond sports, and know how to ask for help when they need it.

We also believe being an athlete isn't limited to competition. An athlete isn't just someone pursuing championships, scholarships, or elite-level performance. An athlete is anyone who chooses to move, grow, challenge themselves, and embrace an active lifestyle.

Whether it's playing on a team, hiking a trail, dancing, riding a bike, swimming, skateboarding, or simply enjoying movement, being active should bring joy—not pressure.

That's why one of our core goals is to keep sports and physical activity fun.

Not every young athlete will play in college. Not every athlete will become a professional. But every young person can develop a lifelong love for movement, wellness, and healthy habits that support them throughout adulthood.

At the heart of Be Kind 5 for Athletes are our five pillars:

🧠 Mental Health – Building resilience, self-awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being.

❤️ Giving Back – Developing empathy, kindness, leadership, and community involvement.

🌎 Earth Service – Encouraging responsibility, stewardship, and care for the world around us.

💪 Physical Health – Creating lifelong habits around movement, wellness, recovery, and healthy living.

💰 Financial Health – Building practical life skills and confidence for the future.

Together, these pillars help young people understand that they are more than an athlete. They are leaders, teammates, friends, students, mentors, and future changemakers.

The five pillars also help us create a curious and engaged pipeline of young people who are encouraged to explore possibilities beyond the game. We want youth to ask important questions:

  • What am I passionate about?

  • How can I make a difference?

  • What healthy habits support my success?

  • What skills do I need for the future?

  • Who can I turn to when I need help?

We want young athletes to understand that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Whether support comes from a coach, parent, teammate, mentor, teacher, or mental health professional, no one should feel they have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Our vision is to help young people develop confidence without tying their worth to wins, losses, rankings, or statistics. Success is not defined by a scoreboard. Success is becoming a healthy, engaged human who contributes positively to their community and lives with purpose.

As we launch Be Kind 5 for Athletes, we invite schools, coaches, athletic departments, youth sports organizations, wellness professionals, community leaders, sponsors, and mentors to join us in building something bigger than sports.

Together, we can create environments where young people play hard, lead with kindness, explore their potential, and develop the skills needed to thrive in life.

Because our goal isn't simply to create better athletes.

It's to create healthier humans.

Play Hard. Lead Kind. Inspire Others. 💙💚💛
